The Association of Virginia Audiologists (AVA) is leading an important initiative to modernize the scope of practice for audiologists in the Commonwealth of Virginia. This effort is designed to better align clinical practice with the education, training, and expertise of today’s audiologists.
Our work focuses on clearly establishing the role of audiologists in the evaluation, diagnosis, management, and treatment of hearing and balance disorders, while advancing language to support prescriptive authority for hearing aids.
